Beara Single Grain Whiskey , Grain Whiskey, Vol.: 41%
The Beara Single Grain Whiskey was initially produced in the Great Northern Distillery from corn and malted barley. For the final maturation, the barrels went to the Beara Distillery, which is located on the peninsula of the same name.
The whiskey was stored for the entire maturation period in a 200 liter virgin oak barrel. This gave it its intense color and the pronounced vanilla and fruit notes. The whiskey was reduced to drinking strength with spring water from the Caha Mountains before it was bottled.
The Beara Peninsula with its wild and untouched nature is located a little off the beaten tourist track. This area has inspired poets, writers and musicians to create great works over the last thousand years.
The team at Beara Distillery loves the idea that the beauty and inspiration of this area will now be incorporated into whiskey and that everyone can hold a piece of the Beara Peninsula in their hands.
