Description
The island nation's smallest whisky distillery is located on Lake Biwa, Japan's largest lake. Founded in 2016, Nagahama is part of a new generation of Japanese distilleries - and the answer to the increasing demand for domestic premium products. The team led by master blender Takashi Kiyoi distills the malty whisky spirit in just 26 square meters. The equipment for this is adapted to the space: Nagahama works with the smallest pot stills in Japan.
