Since its founding in 2002, the Hammerschmiede spirits manufacturer, located in the picturesque Harz Mountains, has distinguished itself through the production of exquisite whiskeys "Made in Germany". The distillery places great value on quality and authenticity, which is why its Hercynian single malts are only released in limited editions, without the use of chill filtration or artificial coloring. These whiskeys are available in four different series, among which The Alrik stands out in particular. Led by Anna Buchholz, the passionate Head of Distilling, the dedicated team limits annual production to 600 to 1,500 bottles, of which 650 are available exclusively through Kirsch Import.

Within the Alrik series, connoisseurs and lovers will discover the wealth of aromas characterized by the intensive use of "woodsmoked" malt. This malt gets its characteristic flavor from smoking over beech and alder wood, a method that gives the whiskies in the Alrik series their unmistakable profile. The Alrik - First Fill PX Quarter Cask is no exception to this tradition. It matures in selected Pedro Ximénez Sherry Quarter Casks, which give it extraordinary depth thanks to the intensive contact with the European oak.
