The ElsBurn 10 yo is Batch 1 of the Distillery Edition 2024 - and the first single malt in the series with an age statement. Typically for the popular series, it matured entirely in first fill sherry casks from Jerez. This created a lush, characterful taste experience with baking spices, raisins and tangerines as well as fine vanilla and caramel notes.
Description
The Hammerschmiede is located in the Elsbachtal, embedded in the mountain landscape of the southern Harz. Instead of iron ore, the Buchholz family processes another regional raw material here: barley. Since 2002, the spirits manufacturer has stood for Hercynian Single Malt - sophisticated whisky from the heart of Germany.
