They are between 10 and 15 years old , bottled at 48% ABV, produced on the same basis and matured in American Oak Bourbon Barrels before being finished for around 18 months in unused oak casks : the single malts of GlenAllachie's Limited Virgin Oak Series . Batch 2 of the experimental series is now available.

The three new Speyside whiskies were matured in selected virgin oak casks made from French, American and Scottish oak - and prove that no prior addition of sherry, wine and the like is necessary to give whiskies complex aromas . What's more, the Virgin Oak Series offers lovers a rare comparability on the basis of which they can explore the unadulterated influence of the different wood characters .

The GlenAllachie 10 yo – Chinquapin Oak Finish expresses the spicy characteristics of the North American oak species in an exemplary manner, while barrels from the Haute Garonne produce The GlenAllachie 10 yo – French Oak Finish, a single malt with silky tannins, sweet spices and fruit notes . A rarity is The GlenAllachie 15 yo – Scottish Oak Finish , which was aged in rare oak barrels from the Scottish Atlantic coast . The difficult-to-process, expensive wood results in an exceptional drinking experience. , full of vanilla and caramel, balanced with notes of cinnamon, ginger and cloves.
