Bright red roofs and buildings break through the lush jungle, spring water bubbles out of the walls, meter-high sugar cane lines the paths: Rhum JM, one of the few distilleries in the world that distills Rhum Agricole, is located in the evergreen Macouba on Martinique. The small, traditional company follows the strict regulations of the "Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée".
