As perhaps Scotland's best-known independent bottler, Gordon & MacPhail has pursued one goal for more than 125 years: to produce single malt Scotch whisky of exceptional quality . The company has been family-owned for four generations and has since combined its own casks with distillates from over 100 Scottish distilleries . The selected whiskies remain in the casks for up to 80 years before Gordon & MacPhail releases their connoisseur bottlings in various collections.

Whiskies from the Connoisseurs Choice series are released in small, limited editions, bottled at 46% ABV or at cask strength and sometimes with a wood finish . The latter is the case for the Glendullan 2009/2022 .
97% of the single malt from the Dufftown distillery goes into blends. Gordon & MacPhail matured the light, fruity distillate in refill bourbon barrels and finished the whisky for a further 3 years in Côte Rôtie casks . The wines from the small but prestigious growing region on the slopes of the right bank of the Rhône have intense aromas ranging from blackberry to cocoa . The Glendullan is also characterized by berries that combine deliciously with liquorice, violets and peanuts.
