The first whiskey from the Waterford Distillery is finally on the market. The founder of the distillery, Mark Reynier, worked in Scotland for a long time and founded the Waterford Distillery in 2014. The focus here is on barley. The Waterford Distillery works with local farmers and has been distilling each barley separately since 2016.
The barley from Sheestown in County Kilkenny grows on a hilly terroir of well-drained clay soil. It is the distillation base for Waterford's honey-sweet and spicy Sheestown Edition 1.1.
This single malt whiskey consists of three different cask types: Bourbon cask, Premium French cask, Vin Doux Naturel cask
