The taste experience is rounded off by a very light hint of sweet smoke, a delicate, characteristic note of mandarin and gentle mocha.

The Journey 2023 was distilled from 95 percent light barley malt and 5 percent chocolate malt with roasted notes. It matured in six different cask types - from sherry to Marsala to Grand Cru Bordeaux.
The result is an extremely complex single malt. With fruity, spicy notes of European oak, the tempting sweetness of toffee and vanilla, and the ElsBurn-typical aromas of mandarin and gentle mocha, it will appeal to enthusiasts and beginners alike.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Fruity and spicy at first with oak notes, which turn into malty tones with coffee notes, dark caramel and a little toffee.
