This limited edition is a unique fusion of whisky matured in rare port casks combined with classic bourbon cask-aged whisky. This is the first time Ardbeg has matured its famous peaty whisky in port casks, resulting in a captivating blend of aromas and flavours.
Aroma:
- Top notes : Fragrant lavender, vetiver and incense.
- Base notes : Deeper accents of leather, almond and wax.
- With water : Additional nuances of wood smoke, damp peat and a hint of menthol.
Taste:
- Mouthfeel : Salty and viscous, resulting in a variety of strong salty and savory flavors.
- Tasting notes : Eucalyptus oil, mint chocolate, salted caramel toffee, smoked pecans and wood smoke, with a sweet base note of smoky pear crumble and fudge.
